System Design Engineer (Not currently active: For pipelining purposes only)

 

JOB SUMMARY:

This position requires the ability to successfully engineer and design electrical and mechanical control systems relating to; temperature, pressure and flow control of various gases and fluids in the industrial manufacturing industry with an emphasis on combustion systems. Mechanical piping and heated duct sections will also be a large part of the requirement. Safety will be the leading criteria of all designs. This role will evaluate projects with the sales department and possibly review them with the engineering team to design the best solution that meets the customers expectations. AutoCAD electrical & mechanical drawings, panel layout, BOM and a P&ID will be produced for; approvals, quoting, purchasing and fabrication. Panel testing may also be required as needed along with internal and external customer support.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS (Top Three):
• Project Design (Electrical) (70%)
• Customer, Sales and Service Support, internal & External (20%)
• Controls Panel and Valve Train Testing (10%)

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• A strong working knowledge of Auto-Cad.
• Create engineered drawings and specifications for; electrical panel design & layouts, mechanical piping, duct assemblies and all accessories as needed
• Create and review the BOM for the parts procurement
• Design and evaluate flow calculations, velocities and pressures throughout various systems.
• Knowledge of control valves and various mechanical flow control devices.
• The ability to size appropriate flow control valves and regulators.
• System designs with the implementation of PLC’s.
• Supervise projects as needed per approved drawings.
• Attend project line up meetings.
• Assist with implementation and maintenance of UL rated panel shop.
• Ability to interact with vendors, internal and external customers while representing the company in a professional manner

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
• Minimum of 2 years of College or Technical School
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience designing with AutoCAD

Technical Outside Sales Engineer

JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for maintaining and growing sales and gross profit by our expanding industrial market presence.  This individual will be selling products and services through increased participation in business opportunities.  Emphasis will be on the ability to build and maintain strong relationships among new and existing customers, identify customer pains and engineer solutions with products, equipment, and services.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:

  • Account Management maintain, manage & service customers (40%)
  • Sales Prospecting establish new business & new accounts (40%)
  • Consultative Sales market & promote new products (20%)

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop new business and identify new customers or existing customers who could benefit from company products or services; maximimize customer potential in designated regions.
    • Maintain existing business.
    • Develop new business opportunities.
    • Build and document a pipeline of business at least 3X sales.
    • Use proven sales techniques to maximize quality of leads.
    • Gain customer acceptance by focusing on customer needs and explaining or demonstrating cost reductions and operational improvements on equipment or machinery.
    • Travel territory performing site visits ensuring products, equipment, or services are being fully marketed and/or represented to customer. Have a documented plan for tracking and sharing with sales management.
    • Grow sales profitably.
    • Manage/maximize gross profit of all business.

  • Develop long-term relationships with customers by managing and interpreting customer requirements.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 4 year Engineering degree (Mechanical, Chemical or Electrical Engineering desired)
  • Minimum of 2 years relatable technical experience preferred.
  • Proficient Computer Skills MS Word, Excel, Power Point & Outlook.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Light office work; traveling to customer’s industrial and commericial facilities; meet the facility safety requirements.
  • Willing to inspect equipment and get dirty when needed.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: 

  • 80-90% of workday is spent in the field calling on customers in the assigned territory. Typical 10% – 20% overnight, but as high as 50% at times.
  • Local travel generally by vehicle.



Field Service Instrumentation Technician (Now active!!)

As a Field Service Instrumentation Technician, you will perform service work at client sites on combustion and control instrumentation systems across a wide variety of industries and applications. The service work performed can be any of the following: installation, trouble shooting, calibration, preventative maintenance, and emergency repairs. Your communication skills, flexibility, responsiveness and technical knowledge is critical in effectively serving our client needs.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:

  • Installation and repair of industrial control systems (40%)
  • Perform certified calibrations on a variety of controls and instrumentation (30%)
  • Analyze and problem-solve control and electrical issues (30%)

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Effectively communicate with client’s plant personnel
  • Maintain field service reports and expenses
  • Maintain company truck, test equipment, and truck inventory
  • Look for opportunities for upgrades and additional repairs
  • Training support as needed by area manager

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Past education or experience:
    • Two-year technical degree, or
    • 2 years “actual” instrumentation (controls, sensing equipment for pressure/temperature, flow metering, or industrial analytical), or
  • Knowledge of basic electrical theory (Ohms law)
  • Proficient in using multimeters and loop calibrator

  • Familiar with OSHA 10, MSHA, or NFPA 70e safety rules and regulations
  • Computer savvy with knowledge in Microsoft Word & Excel
  • CCST certified, boiler stationary engineer license or state electricians license a plus
